Panorama Towers welcomes Pamela Anderson

Pamela AndersonAccording to the developers of Panorama Towers, Hallier Properties LLC, former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson has inked a deal to purchase a $1 billion, 2-bedroom, 2,000 square foot penthouse condominium at Panorama Towers, Tower 4.

Construction on Tower 1, on Industrial Road just south of Flamingo on the west side of I-15, should be completed by midsummer. Tower 4 is currently slated to be ready sometime in 2008.

Other stars who have reportedly purchased at Panorama Towers include Spiderman actor Tobey Maguire and The Aviator star Leonardo DiCaprio.Panorama Towers

Hollywood stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Jessica Simpson lend names to Las Vegas high rises

Leonardo DiCaprioDevelopers are using Hollywood stars to make their projects stand out from the more than 100 residential skyscrapers proposed for Las Vegas.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire have purchased units in the Panorama Towers complex. Jessica Simpson has reserved a unit at Palms Place, the 50-story high-rise planned at the Palms Hotel and Casino. Baseball Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson has reserved a spot at Icon Las Vegas.

??I am sure these celebrities are getting very good deals,? said Peter Dennehy, senior vice president of Sullivan Group Real Estate Advisors in San Diego. ??It is a marketing thing. People want to live near the stars.?

Donald Trump?s 1,283-unit condominium project sold out in just five days after it was announced in December.

Urbanizing Las Vegas

Las Vegas BoulevardIf you've driven around Las Vegas the past year or so you've noticed all the in-your-face billboards touting the latest and greatest in condo or loft living. Seriously, how many of these ads can one community take?

Last week the Las Vegas Business Press published a list of luxury condominium projects. The list included 4 projects recently completed, 4 nearing completion, 7 in construction, 12 that have broken ground, and another 18 proposed projects. It also listed 5 condo projects that are now dead.

Guess what, my friends? The carnage is just starting.
