Like it or not, Vegas is growing. Along with doubling its population every decade since the 40s, the geographical borders of development in the Las Vegas Valley continue to expand.

There's a new hot area where at least six luxury condo projects are either already built, under construction, or planned.

I'm talking about the South Strip. It's a relatively new term for the area along Las Vegas Boulevard south of the I-215 interchange. And are you ready for that stretch of the Boulevard to look like its northern counterpart? It will, just give it a few years.

Recently completed at Las Vegas Boulevard and Agate Avenue is the 20 mid-rise development known as Park Avenue.

Under construction at Las Vegas Boulevard and Serene there's Boca Raton with four seven-story towers and Manhattan with nine mid-rise buildings and 700 units. At LVB and Pebble is Loft 5, a mid-rise with 650 units.

Coming soon to the neighborhood are a couple of additional projects that have already broken ground. One Las Vegas at LVB and Shelbourne Avenue has five towers and 961 units. And Urban Village is underway at LVB and Starr Avenue with a staggering 2,400 units.

So, what do you think traffic will be like along the South Strip? It gives me a headache just thinking about it.
