Why you should use a Realtor®

realtor.gifThe process of buying or selling a home is complicated and involved, even confusing and frustrating at times. There are many elements, such as inspections, appraisals, title, escrow and securing financing, etc.

If you have purchased a home recently you know how much paperwork is involved. As the process becomes more complex, the best advice I can give is to strongly suggest you use a Realtor®. Why, you may ask?

If you had a toothache, would you grab the pliers and try to remedy the situation by yourself, or would you make an appointment with a dentist?

If you wanted to treat your partner to a special dinner and the only thing you can do in the kitchen is boil water, would you make the dinner or go to a nice restaurant?

Predictions for Las Vegas real estate in 2007

Our first stop will be the offices of some national financial publications that predict a decrease in property values around the Las Vegas Valley for this year. It appears these analysts have only considered the recent boom in Las Vegas home prices to make their determinations. Somehow they fail to enter into the equation two of the most important factors that determine real estate value: population growth and job opportunity.

Recent statistics show that approximately 7,000 people a month are moving in to the Las Vegas Valley. In addition, Nevada’s Department of Employment predicts that the state’s employment will grow 5 percent in 2007. Those statistics point to an increase in property value in 2007.
